	Jorge Guerreiro Director DESIGN / MARKETING/ SALES Jorge is of European stock and has been a resident of Brisbane since 1982 and has a passion for architecture and good design. He began his career designing subdivisions before becoming Design Manager for AV Jennings. Seeing a gap in the Brisban market for a good quality customised building company he pursued further studies in business and marketing before commencing Builtex. Quality designed and built homes to suit South East Queensland's unique climate and topography became his hallmark. Jorge has also worked with Professor Zoklolay who authored many books about Energy Efficient Buildings well before energy laws were actually introduced into Queensland. Jorge's commitment to green clean design and development had him win 1st prize amongst over 300 architects for his project home in Carindale.                              Jorge is not only committed to the physical structures his team develops but to the families and individuals who live in them. His approach is one of frank, open and collaborative communication from start to finish and beyond.
	Candy Guerreiro MANAGER – ADMINISTRATION Candy manages the administration of Builtex and ensures that all projects run smoothly and, together with her natural ability for Interior Design, is a cornerstone of both the business and our relationship with clients, suppliers and contractors. Candy is passionate about her work and passionate about making sure the human beings involved in all aspects of a development are looked after and cared for. Candy is also a powerful team leader and has a background in child care education and teaching. Her customer service is second to none and something she is immensely proud to be a part of. Candy is the caring heart of Builtex.
	Wayne Brown DIRECTOR – CONSTRUCTION Wayne is our Construction Expert and many say he was born on a construction site. We call him "Master Brown" due to his innate ease and capabilities on site as well as his being a well respected teacher of teachers. Wayne trained originally as a carpenter before becoming a certified registered builder in his own right. He has an extensive building career spanning over 32 years. Wayne joined Builtex in 2002 and soon became a Director due to his skills and dedication to the business and it's customers. Wayne is also a keen scuba diver and is a true professional in everything he undertakes.
	Brad Cross DESIGNER - CAD Brad is a fully licenced Designer. He is extremely experienced in all aspects of residential design and demands excellence of both himself and his team. In the last 15 years Brad has won many HIA, QMBA and BDAQ Awards. He is a specialist in virtual building design and produces workable documentation and modelling to give customers the best tools for visualising their development. Brad holds true to the "Design is Everything" philosophy and pays particular attention to the customer's needs matched with the unqiue qualities of the site. He produces amazing concepts for consideration and is reknowned as one of the best designers in Brisbane. Brad will give substance and design to your vision.
	Joe Reggi DESIGN MANAGER Joe Reggi is an Architectural Designer with a natural excellence in both ability and commitment to producing top quality homes. Joe has been designing homes for over 25 years and holds a Diploma of Built Environment and is a member of the Building Designers Association of QLD. He has worked with many boutique home building companies and has won numerous awards. Joe is a key member of a Design research group that travels the world regularly to stay abreast of the latest design news, trends, ideas and technologies. In his own words - "The greatest pleasure I receive is being able to listen to client's wants and desires and then be able to consolidate those ideas into a design that will become their reality".
	Emma Dodds ARCHITECTURAL DRAFTSPERSON Emma is our Design Draftsperson. She completed her diploma recently in Building Design Technology and is considering furthering her studies in Architecture . Emma has a strong work ethic and takes a lot of pride and ownership in everything she does. She has a passion for great residential architecture and our customers love the professionalism of all the technical documentation that she produces. Emma is highly motivated and thrives on perfection. She is an integral part of our team and is helping Builtex to exceed customers' expectations.

I reckon building a home can be the most stressful experience that one can imagine. With the wrong choice of builder it can cost you a fortune as well as years off your life because of stress. Many friends who have built can attest to this.

When we decided to build our home we were looking for a builder with a proven track record who could undertake all aspects of completing the build, thereby saving us from the complexity of having us to be knowledgeable and all knowing for each step of the build.

Jorge turned out to be such a Builder, he was involved from the Design stage (including Town Planning) his staff assisted with the interior design and choice of colours and he was fastidious in his demands for producing a quality build.

One of the pleasing things to me is the quality of trades person employed by Builtex, they were all terrific, Wayne, who takes over once the building commences, was a most co-operative coordinator to work with and he went to great pains to assure the best possible outcome for us.

It is probably fair to say that I thought that the Quote from Jorge was a bit high; however he explained that he had allowed for all the costs to completion, whilst many other builder will make their profit from variations or understating the allowances.

Upon completion, even where Builtex did do additional work during the build; they did not charge for these variations.

Three years after the Building was completed I noticed that on a particular section of wall the colour was fading at a greater pace than other walls. I mentioned this to Jorge, who after an inspection, told explained to me that this was outside the warranty period, but he still bought the paint and had his staff repaint the entire wall at his own cost.

I am happy to show our home and act as a reference, and I can highly recommend Builtex as my builder of choice and when I build again they will be the ones I will call.
